About The Role

The Casual Biodiversity Supervisor Landcare is responsible for facilitating and supervising environmental volunteer working bees and is a front-facing customer service role within the Urban Ecology team. Primarily including facilitation at the two-council run community nurseries and can include facilitating the Bushcare volunteer program on various Natural Area sites across the LGA. The outline of the role includes plant production, volunteer management, sales to the public, and managing large external orders.

Remuneration

$38.57 per hour + Superannuation

Some Of The Required Skills, Experience And Qualifications

Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management and/or Horticultural Certificate and/or Nursery operations Certificate or equivalent.
Experience in volunteer management.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of groups.
Experience in seed collection and propagation of indigenous plants of the Sydney district.
Ability to manage financial transactions.
