Overview
Gold Coast Heart Centre is a multi-location Cardiology practice consisting of a team of nine Cardiologists, Cardiac Sonographers, ECG Technicians and administration support staff, who are committed to delivering high quality cardiac care to the local Gold Coast community.
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice/Business Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations across our practice locations, manage financial transactions and implement marketing initiatives to support continued business growth.
This role requires a motivated and strategic business minded executive with a strong background in healthcare management, who will demonstrate outstanding leadership to ensure the continued growth and success of our practice.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in overseeing the financial operations of a large medical practice and will be actively involved in marketing and promotional strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate exceptional communication and leadership skills to assist in the smooth day-to-day operations of the practice
- Staff management, including recruitment, performance management and supervision of staff across four practice locations
- Management and supervision of practice appointment schedule to ensure efficacy to maximise business outcomes
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive practice growth and expand medical services including liaison with referrers, regular GP visits, delivery of marketing materials, coordination of medical education and promotional events
- Ensure practice procedures and policies are reviewed annually and compliance with Medicare billing and adherence to accreditation guidelines
- Maintaining Accreditation for the practice Diagnostic Imaging Services
- Yearly review of Equipment Maintenance/Service Contracts, Professional indemnity & Practice Business Insurances
- Utilize technology to streamline and improve efficiency within the practice
- Maintain weekly payments for suppliers through Xero, reconciliation of Medicare, Health Fund, Eftpos payments and generate fortnightly payroll for employees
- Preparation of end of month financial transactions and reporting through Xero for Accountant to complete BAS
- Preparation and payment of Payroll Tax and Superannuation for employees
- High level of accuracy with auditing, budgeting, recording and reporting financial data to practice Directors
Requirements
- Diploma in Practice Management or Business Administration or equivalent
- Experience in healthcare management position
- Experience in XERO for recording financial transactions
- Experience in effective people management including team leadership, recruitment, performance management and staff rostering
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high quality patient care and improving patient and practice outcomes
- Exceptional organisational, finance, and time management skills
