Opportunity for a Registered Nurse
* We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative team in a full-time or part-time capacity.
Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to play a key role in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided in our fast-paced and dynamic hospital environment.
About the Role:
* The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the recovery area.
* As a Registered Nurse – Recovery/PACU, you will work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs and contribute to the development of effective treatment plans.
* Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs.
* Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care.
* Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs.
* Act as a role model for Safe Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality patient care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
* Develop and implement effective treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
* Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care.
* Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in nursing care.
Requirements:
* 2 years' RN experience in Recovery/PACU Nursing with experience in one of the following specialties: Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Urology, ENT and general surgery.
* Authority to Work in Australia.
* Working with Children check.
* Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.
* Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA.
* Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
* Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
* Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
