This is an outstanding and unique opportunity for an experienced, qualified Senior Financial Accountant to join an established West Australian Icon that has been steadily growing and diversifying over the last few years.
You will report to a supportive head of finance who leads an experienced, close-knit finance team. Our client offers a professional, supportive working environment where your contributions will be acknowledged and valued. This role will give you full responsibility for the financial accounting side of their business.
This role is office-based.
The Role
* Manage the monthly and annual financial reporting process
* Preparation of the month-end management accounts
* General ledger maintenance and daily reconciliations
* Manage statutory requirements - BAS, FBT, GST and Payroll Tax
* Liaise with external auditors and third parties
* Assist with the preparation of the annual budget
* Cash flow monitoring and weekly reporting
* Detailed monthly analysis and reporting of departmental costs
* Preparation and maintenance of the company's fixed asset register
* Assist and support the payroll and accounts payable/accounts receivable officer.
* Review AR/AR aging reports
* Ad-hoc projects as required by senior management
Requirements
* Ideally, you will be a qualified Big 4 Chartered Accountant
* Sound knowledge of accounting standards, tax and statutory requirements
* Solid understanding of accounting concepts and reporting requirements
* Confident communicator with highly developed written and verbal skills
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
* Ability to take direction and work as part of a high-performing team
* Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
* Capable of multitasking and meeting tight deadlines
* Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude
