Base pay range: A$80,000.00/yr - A$85,000.00/yr. Fully distributed commercial / corporate lawyer role - you can work from anywhere around Australia. No need to be in or near a main city; it’s all online and flexible to your needs.

Summary
Position: Commercial / Corporate Lawyer (1-3 PQE).
Schedule: Full time. Hours are flexible. Start ASAP.
Location: Distributed company; WFH encouraged. Office in Sydney and co-working options available if you prefer.
Responsibilities
• Work independently and take ownership of matters, particularly in basic commercial law, with support from senior lawyers.
• Manage a variety of fixed-fee engagements for start-ups and small businesses, including areas such as company setup, trademarks, commercial contracts, online terms, employment, and data protection.
• Engage in client-facing work, operate technology platforms, and contribute to a culture of fast, efficient delivery similar to a tech start-up.
• Note: The role does not involve dispute or litigation work.
Qualifications
• Qualified lawyer with 1-3 years PQE in general commercial law. Experience in a leading private practice or in-house environment in Australia is preferred.
• Specialisation in any of the following areas would be favourably considered: technology & IP contracts, trademarks, commercial and retail leases, employment, franchising, privacy and data protection, online business.
• Strong client-facing skills, tech-savviness, and ability to work autonomously.
