The company aims to build strong market presence through effective retail operations, customer satisfaction, and innovative sales strategies.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee and manage daily retail operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient store performance, driving sales growth, and maintaining high standards of customer service in line with business objectives.Key Responsibilities:
* Determine product mix, stock levels, and service standards across our full retail range (gifts, stationery, lotto products, convenience items, and ancillary merchandise)
* Formulate and implement purchasing, pricing, and marketing policies to maximise sales and profitability.
* Promote and advertise products and services to maximise sales performance
* Manage day-to-day retail operations, ensuring smooth business functioning
* Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and financial transactions
* Monitor budgets, control expenses, and optimise profitability
* Supervise, train, and manage staff to achieve operational goals
* Ensure high standards of store presentation, visual merchandising, cleanliness and customer experience
* Analyse sales trends and implement strategies to improve revenue
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations
* Coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely stock availability.
* Oversee the smooth delivery of Australian Post Agency services and ensure compliance with Australia Post operational standards
To be successful in this role, it is essential you have:
* Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Business, Retail Management, or related field
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in retail management role or similar role in a fast-paced retail environment (or equivalent experience in lieu of formal qualification)
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Outstanding communication and customer service abilities
* Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory control, and sales strategies, budgeting and retail profitability
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety and retail regulations
