The Role
We are seeking a Marine Pilot Service Delivery Manager to lead and oversee our Marine Pilotage operations in Port Hedland. This pivotal role ensures safe, efficient, and uninterrupted marine operations and pilotage services, drives operational excellence, optimises assets and resources, and supports the growth of our maritime services. You will coordinate our service delivery requirements for our team of Marine Pilots, maintain strong client relationships, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.
Position Objective & Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership of Port Pilotage services in the Port of Port Hedland, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations in line with client and regulatory requirements.
Oversee pilotage operations, pilot performance, and shore-based support functions to ensure service reliability and operational excellence.
Drive a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the team.
Optimise operational systems, resources, and processes to deliver cost-effective, high-quality services that meet or exceed contractual targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, port authorities, and stakeholders to support effective communication, issue resolution, and business growth.
Lead and develop operational teams, fostering capability, accountability, and professional growth.
Contribute to strategic planning and business development by identifying opportunities to expand work scopes and strengthen Odyssey Group's position as a trusted provider of maritime logistics services.
Maintain strong client relationships and support contract retention.
Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, including risk management, audits, and HSEQ initiatives.
Monitor performance, provide timely KPI and contractual reporting, and implement process improvements.
Promote diversity, inclusion, and community engagement initiatives.
Identify and implement operational efficiencies to optimise resources and support cost-effective service delivery.
