Alliance - Adelaide North West Homelessness | Western Suburbs SA

About the Role

The Adelaide North West Homelessness Alliance (ANWHA) is acollaborative partnership between seven for-purpose communityorganisations and the Department of Human Services (DHS), workingcollectively to deliver integrated homelessness services across theregion.

Employed by the Alliances' lead Agency UnitingSA, TheAlliance Senior Manager is responsible for leading the strategicpositioning, performance strengthening, and collective alignment ofthe Alliance during a period of sector review andre-commissioning.

You will work closely with the Alliance Leadership Team (ALT),Alliance Management Team (AMT), and government stakeholders to:

* Translate review findings into strategic action
* Strengthen the Alliance's evidence base andperformance narrative
* Align seven independent organisations around sharedpriorities
* Prepare the Alliance for future funding and commissioningprocesses
* Ensure the Alliance can clearly demonstrate impact, value,and system leadership

This is not a traditional operational management role. It is a strategic leadership position requiring strong diagnosticcapability, political acuity, resilience, and the ability to influence across organisational boundaries without directauthority.

In this role, you will: Strategic Alliance Leadership &Governance
* Lead a comprehensive assessment of Alliance performance,identifying strengths, impact evidence, capability gaps, andstrategic risks that may influence future commissioningoutcomes.
* Translate data, evaluations, and operational insights intoa compelling, evidence-based narrative that clearly articulatesthe Alliance's value and impact.
* Provide coordinated leadership to execute decisions of theAlliance Leadership Team and maintain strategic momentum.
* Champion the ANWHA strategy across the North West Alliance,ensuring a clear line of sight between strategic intent,operational delivery, and long term impact.
Performance, Impact and ContinuousImprovement
* Lead evaluation and learning processes that capture whathas been achieved during the first Alliance period and identifyareas requiring refinement.
* Strengthen high impact relationships with funders, Alliancepartners, and PEAK bodies, ensuring coordinated advocacy
* Strengthen consistency in outcome measurement, KPItracking, and financial transparency across all partnerorganisations.
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives inpartnership with the ALT and AMT, prioritising enhancementsthat will deliver measurable gains in client and systemoutcomes within the next year's strategic window.
* Work effectively across organisational boundaries, aligningexpectations, resolving competing priorities, and securingmutually beneficial outcomes at a time where unified focus iscritical.
Strategic Positioning & Influence
* Interpret and respond proactively to findings from thegovernment review and broader sector reforms.
* Lead coordinated preparation for anticipated tender orrecommissioning processes, ensuring the Alliance isstrategically aligned and operationally ready.
* Facilitate opportunities to showcase and strengthen theAlliance's value proposition, including articulation ofimpact, integration benefits, cost-effectiveness, and systemleadership.
* Monitor policy shifts, commissioning signals, and fundingmodel changes, anticipating risks and preparing strategicresponses.
* Actively participate in sector committees and engage withPeak bodies to elevate the Alliance's profile andstrengthen its positioning ahead of key decisions
What you will need to be successful in therole:
* A degree or postgraduate qualification ina relevant field.
* Experience in leadership within a multi-agencyenvironment.
* Knowledge of collective impact, communitymobilisation, and service integration.
* Strong commissioningand/or tender positioning experience within government-fundedenvironments.
* Advanced ability to analyse and translate data, evaluations,and performanceevidence into strategic insight and compelling narratives .
* Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and influencing outcomes incomplex, multi-stakeholder environments. Experience in working with Aboriginal and culturallydiverse communities .
* A current Working withChildren Check, NDIS Worker Screening, National Police Clearance, and a full SA Driver'sLicence .
