We are seeking a hands-on Service Manager to lead our workshop and mobile service operations, with a clear mandate to drive revenue growth, improve profitability, and elevate service delivery standards.
This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and leads from the front.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the workshop and mobile service teams
* Plan, schedule, and prioritise all service jobs to maximise efficiency and output
* Act as the primary customer contact for service bookings and job coordination
* Drive revenue growth through upselling, quoting, and identifying new opportunities
* Monitor job progress, ensuring deadlines are met and customers are proactively updated
* Oversee job costing, pricing accuracy, and timely invoicing approvals
* Manage team performance, productivity, and ongoing development (including apprentices)
* Maintain high standards of quality control, safety, and workshop presentation
* Monitor labour utilisation and parts margins to ensure departmental profitability
* Lead daily team communication (toolbox talks/huddles) and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Requirements
* Trade-qualified in a mechanical discipline (essential)
* Proven experience managing a workshop or service-based operation
* Strong commercial acumen with a focus on revenue and profit growth
* Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to manage and motivate teams
* Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
