About the Role
This position assumes responsibility for the daily processing of invoices and the preparation of payments. The provision of support to finance managers and assistance with the production of month‐end management accounts as well as providing assistance with payroll processing and queries also forms part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the daily processing of supplier invoices
* Prepare and monitor the weekly payment schedule for creditors
* Own company credit card process, including reconciliation of credit card expenditure
* Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Provide ad‐hoc assistance to the finance team as required
* General accounting duties as required
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who has great attention to detail, strong initiative, excellent communication and is a team player. Ideally you will come with some experience in accounts payable, however we're also open to training the right person up. Workday experience is ideal as we have recently implemented it.
You'll also bring
* Degree qualified preferred but not essential, as is studying towards CA/CPA.
* Experience in using ERP accounting systems
* Experience in dealing with foreign currencies
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong computer literacy particularly in Excel
* High level of attention to detail
* Experience in providing a focused service to both internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to understand and become proficient with recent software and systems
* Demonstration of time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Must be a self‐starter
