Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled technician with expertise in electrical, electronic, or scientific instrumentation, coupled with strong mechanical capabilities, to manage the manufacturing, servicing, and maintenance of air pollution monitoring equipment. The technician will work with various measurement technologies, requiring proficiency in electronic devices, calibration, and data logging systems. Experience with ISO and NATA quality systems, as well as maintaining accurate documentation, is essential. The role will also require flexibility to work night shifts and travel overseas as needed.

Responsibilities:

* Install, commission, and maintain air quality monitoring systems (CEMS, Ambient, In-Tunnel) according to Assured Environmental's standards.
* Perform maintenance tasks in line with customer specifications and requirements.
* Adhere to established procedures during maintenance activities.
* Plan and prepare for customer site visits, ensuring all necessary equipment, tools, parts, and consumables are available for scheduled maintenance and potential failures (preventive maintenance).
* Perform routine inspections and proactive monitoring of equipment to identify potential issues before they occur.
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on-site or remotely.
* Offer both on-site and remote (via AnyDesk, telephone, etc.) technical support to customers, helping resolve troubleshooting issues.
* Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations during all maintenance activities and site visits.
* Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance procedures, ensuring efficiency and safety are prioritised.
* Ensure all documentation is completed thoroughly and submitted within required timeframes.
* Manage inventory of spares and consumables for ongoing long-term contracts.
* Engage in required internal and external certification processes to maintain compliance and qualifications.
* Provide guidance and training to junior technicians to enhance their skills.
* Contribute to in-house and customer training programs to improve understanding of equipment and operational procedures, including international training sessions.
* Participate in the on-call rota to provide after-hours support when required.
* Ensure that all test equipment is calibrated and within the required certification period.
* Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary parts and materials for maintenance and repairs.
* Keep up to date with industry advancements and emerging technologies in environmental monitoring systems.
* Provide feedback to senior management regarding equipment performance, customer feedback, and suggestions for service improvements.
* Assist in the design and implementation of customised monitoring solutions based on customer needs.
* Support the execution of system upgrades and modifications to improve performance and functionality.
* Help with the preparation of proposals and quotes for service agreements and equipment installations.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through clear, professional communication.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or a trade certificate in electrical/electronic/instrumentation or relevant scientific discipline.
* Over 5 years of hands-on experience with analytical scientific instruments.
* In-depth knowledge of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), ambient air quality monitoring, and in-tunnel applications, or similar technologies.
* Expertise in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for complex systems and equipment.
* Comprehensive understanding of advanced analytical air quality monitoring instruments.
* Strong technical proficiency in calibration and maintenance of scientific measurement systems.
* Familiarity with ISO quality standards and experience working within a regulated environment.
* Proven ability to work with and support a range of environmental monitoring technologies, from installation to long-term maintenance.
* Experience in data analysis and reporting for air quality monitoring systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a field environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
* A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various job sites as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
