About the Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate Baker to join our Byron team on a full-time or Part-time basis. Roles & Responsibilities
* Perform daily production, baking, and preparation of bakery products according to established standards
* Maintain the quality of food products and ensure consistency in food delivery and standards
* Create baked goods by following set recipes and ensuring adherence to the production numbers schedule
* Ensure productivity and efficiency in the kitchen is consistently maintained to achieve set daily production schedules
* Ensure high product standards and cost-effective operations by efficiently managing resources
* Aim to proactively identify and mitigate potential sources of wastage in production, use seasonality produce
* Maintain the bakery at the highest standard of cleanliness and presentation
* Ensure the bakery and equipment are maintained according to proper health and sanitation standards.
* Adhere to safety and health regulations in their section of the kitchen, promoting a safe working environment
The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
* 2 years experience as Pastry chef, baker or chef
* Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
* Commercial cooking/ pastry qualification or a reasonable amount of prior experience
* Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
* Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
* Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* NSW FSS (Food Safety Supervisor) Certificate
