Key Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will assist the team in delivering local and group-wide deals, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
* Contribute to the development of procurement strategies, focusing on spend categories such as customer premise equipment, content protection technologies, and IoT devices.
* Own and lead data gathering and analytics efforts, providing valuable insights to inform procurement decisions.
* Develop and execute tactical deal pipelines, supporting strategic initiatives within the category.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment between their strategic plans and procurement objectives.
* Produce high-quality deal summaries, create engaging presentations, and deliver regular reports to stakeholders at a director level, effectively communicating financial and non-financial benefits.
* Provide commercial expertise to support company-wide cost-saving programs, identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
Requirements
* Proven experience in procurement, specifically in developing category plans, sourcing tools, techniques, and data analysis expertise.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen to and understand stakeholder needs, while also challenging them when necessary.
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience in running sourcing activities, including RFPs, contract management, large-scale contract renewals, and stakeholder management.
* Demonstrable understanding of key contract terms, such as liabilities, indemnities, intellectual property rights, and termination rights.
* Good understanding of the industry, its challenges, and the impact of external factors on business operations.
* Experience working in an analyst role and within a procurement team, with a proven track record of delivering results.
* Global or pan-European experience, with a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances involved.
