GP Practice Nurse - Opportunity
Seacliff Healthcare is seeking an experienced GP Practice nurse to provide high-quality nursing care for our patients and positive clinical assistance for doctors.
The role involves providing comprehensive general practice services to the local community, operating Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The Practice is colocated with pathology and allied health services, offering excellent facilities and support staff for tenant doctors.
A suitable candidate must be able to collaborate positively and collegially with secretarial and medical staff and possess excellent communication skills with patients.
Key responsibilities include:
* Immunisation knowledge and experience - vaccinating children and adults
* IV cannulation and blood collection skills
* Stock rotation and ordering
* Vaccine fridge monitoring, cold chain management, fridge maintenance, and supplies
* Preparing audits using Best Practice when requested and reporting to the Principal
* Assisting the Principal and Manager with Practice Accreditation
* Knowledge of Practice Hub, MyMedicare, Best Practice, and Hotdoc is advantageous
* Preparing Health Assessments for over 75-year-olds, 45-49-year-olds, and menopausal patients, using templates in collaboration with the patient's GP
* Preparation of GP Management Plans in collaboration with the patient's GP, using suitable templates
* Dressings/wound care
* Assisting GPs with minor procedures
* Maintaining records on stock through Practice Hub and clinical notes using Best Practice medical record system
* Promoting a safe, infection-free environment by following hygiene protocols as per Practice policy
* Participating in essential training and continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining professional development
