Wunan Health & Well-Being Centre is a multi-disciplinary and accredited, healthcare provider that serves the East Kimberley region. Our team of dedicated and experienced medical practitioners provide high-quality medical care to the local community and to the many visitors to our magnificent region. Conveniently located in the town centre of Kununurra in a brand-new purpose-built facility, Wunan Health & Well-Being Centre is proudly owned and operated by Wunan Foundation, an East Kimberley Aboriginal development organisation.
As a rapidly expanding organisation with services currently including a GP Clinic, headspace Kununurra, KWIC - Kununurra Withdrawal and Intervention Centre and soon to be Allied Health service. Wunan Health is looking for an experienced full-time administration team member to join the team and fulfil a pivotal role.
Wunan Health is looking for applicants who have a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, good communication skills, can deal with challenges in a fast-paced environment, multitask and prioritise whilst being able to work under pressure. Flexibility to work within and across the other Wunan Health services is also required.
Previous experience in an administrative position is essential.
Key responsibilities
* Work well within a team and also work independently on set tasks
* Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner
* Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically
* Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate manner
* Liaise with GP's, other health professionals and their staff
* Make appointments via a computer booking system
* Fax, scan and file documents electronically
* Prepare banking, mail, and using an EFTPOS facility
* Able to work with Microsoft Office and Best Practice (BP) software
* Work/life balance – working Monday to Friday (no weekends or Public Holidays)
* Access to salary packaging incl meal & entertainment card
* 5 weeks annual leave

* Working amongst highly skilled and experienced clinicians and supporting staff
