Revenue and Reservations Manager Job Description
Job Responsibilities
* Oversight of the day-to-day operations of the reservations department to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
* Development and maintenance of the department schedule for optimal coverage and minimal loss of calls, resulting in high conversion rates into bookings.
* Supervision and training of reservations staff, providing guidance, support, and ongoing performance feedback to enhance their skills and productivity.
* Handling complex guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and providing solutions to maximize guest satisfaction without revenue loss.
* Maintenance of exceptional customer service by responding to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely manner to prevent business loss.
* Collaboration with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and effective communication.
* Promotion of positive relationships with guests, travel agents, corporate clients, and other stakeholders through proactive engagement and personalized service.
* Anticipation of guest needs and provision of tailored services to elevate the guest experience.
* Efficient handling of reservation changes, cancellations, and special requests in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
* Preparation of regular reports on reservation statistics, occupancy, and revenue performance to inform strategic decisions.
* Cultivation of a positive and collaborative work environment within the reservations department through regular meetings, open communication, and team-building activities.
* Coordination with other hotel departments, such as front office, sales, and marketing, to ensure seamless operations and achieve common goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
* Relevant certification in revenue management (e.g., Certified Hospitality Revenue Manager) is an advantage.
* 4+ years of experience in revenue management and reservations within the hospitality industry, preferably in lifestyle or boutique hotels.
* Strong background in Property Management Systems.
* Proven track record of optimizing revenue, managing inventory, and setting strategic pricing.
