Role Overview
The People Strategy Consultant is an integral member of the People and Culture team responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating initiatives, projects, policies and procedures arising from whole-of-government directions and strategies such as the Workforce Diversification and Inclusion Strategy for WA Public Sector Employment and SM TAFE's Workforce, Diversity and Inclusion Plan.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and promote contemporary human resources initiatives and projects such as the College's Inclusive Employment Program, Aboriginal Employment Program, School Based Traineeship Program and other identified workforce strategies to improve diversity group representation.
- Lead end‐to‐end recruitment initiatives that improve representation across priority groups and support managers to embed inclusive hiring practices.
- Provide options and evidence‐based recommendations for continuous improvement and address workforce issues that meet business needs and comply with public sector legislative and regulatory employment frameworks.
- Facilitate meaningful consultation and liaison with key internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement programs and changes in workforce practices.
- Track and measure program effectiveness against diversity targets, using data and providing detailed reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in public sector recruitment.
- Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Confidence to work with data to measure impact.
