Job Description
We are seeking a Sales Merchandise Representative to drive instore sales of agricultural merchandise products. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will develop strong customer relationships with farmers, primary producers and trade customers, providing a memorable experience in store or over the telephone.
Your role will involve performing general administrative tasks including stock control, ordering, receipting, and dispatching of goods. You will also assist customers with pricing and product queries, process counter sales, maintain safety processes, and assist with merchandise campaign material.
This role includes a monthly rotating Saturday roster. You will need previous experience in a team support role in a busy environment and a passion for Australian farming and agriculture, ideally with knowledge of animal health and rural merchandise.
Key Responsibilities
* Administrative Tasks: Performing general administrative tasks including stock control, ordering, receipting, and dispatching of goods.
* Customer Service: Assisting customers with pricing and product queries, processing counter sales.
* Safety Procedures: Maintaining safety processes.
* Maintenance: Assisting with merchandise campaign material, maintaining a welcoming, friendly, and well-presented store environment.
* Logistics: Loading and unloading trucks, dispatching, and unpacking orders and deliveries.
Required Skills and Qualifications
You will need excellent verbal communication skills, a proactive approach to work and practical organisation skills. You must have competent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. A current driver's license and forklift license is required.
