No two days will be the same when you become a technical expert at Maxilift Australia As the state Mechanical Engineer, working from our Penrith workshop, you will be assisting the sales and installation team with application specific calculations and project management. You will ensure our cranes, tailgates and tyre handling machines are specified, installed, and commissioned to exacting standards. You also will not be afraid to get your hands dirty when needed as you assist our customers and technicians with breakdown support and guidance.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic with the drive to succeed whilst working independently. This role demands strong communication skills, you will be dealing with a variety of different people from sales, management, operators, technicians, and engineers. The ability to explain technical concepts and instructions in plain English will be key. You will have demonstrated skills in managing multiple projects or tasks at once. Your attention to detail will ensure that crane installations are completed to adhere with the relevant regulations. You will have an interest or passion for working with machines, you may be a car enthusiast or have relevant work experience in the equipment and machinery fields. The ability to swing a spanner or use a multi meter will greatly benefit your prospects in this role.
Knowledge and Responsibilities
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
* Current Australian driver's license
* Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor and Ansys (similar applications also considered)
* Produce 2D and 3D drawings and occasionally FEA as required
* Excellent written and verbal English
* Advanced time management and organisational skills
* Complete axle load and stability calculations using TrailerWIN software
* Actively visit installation workshops and customers to provide technical advice and monitor projects
* Lead the project management of crane and tailgate installations ensuring the project scope and timeline is met
* Conduct after sales technical support with operators, customers, dealers, and technicians over the phone, online or in person
