Emergency Management Specialist
Job Description:
* To enhance community preparedness and resilience in preventing, preparing for and responding to bushfires and domestic fires.
* Develop and implement strategies to boost community capacity to handle emergencies effectively.
The Head of the State Service has established that all candidates appointed to this position must undergo a pre-employment verification process prior to commencement.
* Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment.
* Such offences include but are not limited to arson, fire setting, sexual offences, dishonesty, deception, making false declarations, violent crimes, malicious damage and destruction to property, trafficking of narcotic substances, and raising false alarms.
A Tasmanian driver's licence is desirable. Recognised qualifications and/or experience in community development, emergency management or other relevant fields are also highly desirable.
