**The Opportunity**
On behalf of a Federal Government Agency based in Richmond or Geelong we are looking for EL1 Assistant Director. This is a 12-month assignment. The role will paying $602.55 per day plus super.
As part of the Research and Evaluation team, the Assistant Director is a junior leadership position within the team and will support in the planning of conducting evidence reviews (e.g., systematic reviews and living reviews) with the aim to deliver the best available evidence to inform decision making within the Agency.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Supervising a small team including allocation of work and supporting development
- Working with and engaging internal and external stakeholders
- Designing and documenting protocols for environmental scans, evidence snapshots, scoping or systematic reviews of evidence relevant to the models of practice.
- Conducting searches of scientific and grey literature in accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) standards.
- Performing research in line with documented protocols for inclusion/exclusion of records, data extraction, quality appraisal and data synthesis.
- Maintaining project related records including research software or platforms.
- Preparing and presenting research reports and recommendations for different stakeholders, including internal slide-pack summaries for stakeholders.
- Contributing expertise in research methods, psychosocial disability, early childhood interventions or neurological disorders or other areas with relevance to disability supports.
**To be considered you will demonstrate**:
- Previous leadership experience
- Experience in the similar role
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Expertise in behavioural insights, workforce development, evidence-based practice and knowledge translation preferred.
- Experience in the disability, health, or aged care sectors would be advantageous.
- Qualifications in disability, allied health, public health, or related discipline (PhD or post graduate) preferred.
