About The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Neonatal Services team as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife where you will be responsible for:
* Delivering nursing and/or midwifery services across diverse health service settings, demonstrating proficiency developed through experience and/or further study.
* Providing proficient, person centred, clinical nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management to patients/clients in a defined clinical area
* Monitoring patient/client care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis
* Oversee the provision of nursing/midwifery care within a team/unit.
* Maintaining a primarily clinical focus while being assigned relevant portfolios.
* Collaborating in the allocation of portfolio responsibilities, ensuring alignment with career development plans and performance review outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate OR
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
* Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience. Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience with Intensive Care (Adult, Paediatric or Neonatal) or Neonatal Special Care.
* Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics and competency standards.
