THE ROLE Our client is seeking a full-time Associate Project Manager to join their growing team in Melbourne or Sydney. ABOUT YOU We're looking for a skilled and agile Project Engineer, Co-ordinator or Site Manager, ready to step into a Project Management role. Qualifications & Experience: 5 years PQE, with relevant experience as a Project Engineer, Co-ordinator or Site Manager Strong computer literacy, including MS Office suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills BESS or energy project experience is advantageous Knowledge of NSW planning and secondary approvals is highly regarded Skills & Attributes: Highly agile, with a solutions mindset Strong technical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities Willingness to travel to sites as required Commitment to ongoing training and professional development KEY RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will work alongside Senior Project Management to: Oversee the progress of large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects through key phases including approvals, pre-contract negotiations, and construction Coordinate with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to secure necessary project permits and approvals Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery Liaise with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align project execution with technical and commercial objectives. Identify and mitigate project risks throughout development and construction Facilitate communication between internal teams, contractors, and external partners to maintain project momentum Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards specific to battery storage projects WHY JOIN?
