About the position
We're looking for a Boiler Attendant to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our boiler systems. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
About the role:
* Check and maintain boilers to ensure safe and efficient operation
* Monitor coal usage, chemical controls, soot blowing, water softener tests, and blow-down procedures
* Clean soot and maintain boiler performance to maximise efficiency
* Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
* Use your strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently
* Inform the Maintenance Supervisor of repairs and required maintenance
* Work closely with the Operations team to drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with team members in a constructive and supportive environment
* Maintain a strong focus on safety at all times
