Make a difference in patients' lives.· Enjoy excellent employee benefits, discounted fitness memberships, retail offers, and more!We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Trial Coordinator – Research Governance at our Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) in Newcastle Private Hospital (NPH).This role is key to clinical trial management within the CTU, responsible for preparing, submitting, and managing ethics and regulatory documents for various clinical trials.The successful candidate will possess strong regulatory and governance knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the CTU team and stakeholders.
You will manage a diverse workload with exceptional attention to detail and proficient computer skills.Essential Criteria:Bachelor's degree in health sciences or allied health, or significant practical experience in ethics, research governance, and regulation.Proven experience in a clinical research environment.Understanding of national and international research guidelines, including high-level knowledge of Good Clinical Practice.Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and administrative proficiency.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to solve problems independently and manage workload efficiently.Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Well-organized, efficient, and capable of working under pressure.Commitment to patient focus and quality assurance.Computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and database experience.Desirable Criteria:Experience in cancer research or related fields.Postgraduate qualifications in clinical trials or medical governance.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Research Manager to facilitate study start-up and activation.Complete feasibility questionnaires and communicate with trial sponsors.Manage legal and regulatory requirements, including research agreements and budgets.Coordinate ethical and governance submissions, liaising with the Research Governance Office.Maintain regulatory documents and site master files.Develop and update standard operating procedures.Assist with research governance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.Stay informed on clinical trial guidelines and provide staff training as needed.Application Close: 13th May 2025To Apply: Click 'Apply' to access our online form.
