About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on trades professional who can run our Townsville workshop while also managing project planning and client work. This hybrid role combines practical workshop operations with proactive job coordination and computer-based planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and manage daily workshop activities, including fabrication, assembly, and maintenance tasks
* Plan, schedule, and coordinate projects and workloads efficiently
* Use computer systems for quoting, scheduling, inventory management, and reporting
* Source and liaise with clients to secure suitable work opportunities
* Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency
* Support field teams by preparing equipment, parts, and resources
* Track materials, labour, and workshop resources for accurate reporting
Skills & Experience Required:
* Trade qualification in fabrication, mechanical, or electrical disciplines
* Proven experience in workshop operations and hands-on technical work
* Proficient with computers, spreadsheets, and planning software
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
* Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate teams
* Safety-focused with knowledge of WHS standards
