 
        
        OverviewClinical Director - Relocate to Saudi ArabiaRole and ReportingReports to: Consultant In-charge of assigned department(s)Responsible for: Nursing staff and management of assigned areaLiaises with: Nursing staff, Medical and Paramedical, Administration and Support ServicesJob SummaryAssists the In-charge of assigned department(s) in accomplishing the nursing objectives within the division.Maintains an atmosphere which promotes standards of care, clinical competence, and the philosophy, vision and mission of all Nursing Departments.Actively participate in quality improvement projects in order to achieve the desired objective.Responsible for the management of nursing staff assigned, providing leadership, supervising a professional team, recruitment and retention, and troubleshooting of problem areas.Manages the nursing service within the units or departments according to program policy and procedures ensuring the highest standard of care within available resources.Provides leadership to construct and facilitate a framework that supports the Prince Sultan Military Medical City nursing workforce in the provision of a safe, culturally sensitive and effective patient care.Works with operational leaders to ensure processes are maintained that contribute to the management and support of nursing staff through quality human resource processes.Duties And ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Management and related duties including facilitating information sharing, ensuring orientation and performance appraisal development, participating in promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions, policy development, creating a positive climate, maintaining communication channels, implementing PSMMC program and Nursing service strategies, and managing daily operations.Ensure efficient use of Human Resources according to PSMMC regulations (overtime, sick leave, annual leave, maternity leave, compassionate/unpaid leave). 
Cost effective utilization and storage of supplies and equipment; establish performance improvement systems; ensure staff credentials and licensure; monitor nursing database and duty rosters; develop manpower planning; empower subordinates; promote evidence-based changes; maintain administrative meetings; handle staff performance issues; participate in committees; maintain confidentiality; perform other duties as assigned.Develop, implement and monitor nursing staff adherence to PSMMC-wide policies and procedures; represent nursing departments in committees and external functions; maintain positive working relationships; ensure efficient manpower use; collect and analyze statistical data and prepare reports; implement organizational changes as per PSMMC vision and values.Education and Research: promote competency-based practice; assess training needs and participate in delivery of training in PSMMC systems, management, clinical administration, induction, customer relations; ensure ongoing education compliance; stay current on healthcare/nursing issues; coordinate and facilitate nursing education; provide growth opportunities; develop competency-based practices; monitor education opportunities.Quality Improvement: develop control mechanisms, review and improve service quality, identify Quality Improvement projects, monitor incident reports, participate in CQI/PS System Improvement, maintain public profile and respond to complaints, monitor risks, and ensure standard delivery of care with defined standards and policies.Nursing Practice: monitor service delivery, review work patterns and policies, authorize extended roles, ensure adherence to MSD Nursing standards, manage conflicts and incidents of professional misconduct, promote evidence-based policies, ensure timely patient-focused interventions, perform other duties as applicable.Education / LicensureEssential: Master's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.Essential: Current practicing license from country of origin with Valid registration from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as a senior specialist.Skilled ExperienceEssential: Minimum of eight (8) years nursing experience in an acute hospital setting including four (4) years in a leadership position.Desirable: Experience in manpower planning.Desirable: Experience in healthcare nursing departments.Specialized KnowledgeEssential: Diversity in clinical skills; high standard of clinical nursing and management skills; good statistical and administrative skills; experience in manpower planning and budgeting; excellent oral and written communication skills.Personal QualitiesEssential: Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills; ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment; tact, diplomacy and confidentiality in work matters.NoticeUpload your resume and our tool will compare it to the requirements for this job like recruiters do.
