What you'll be doing
* Preparing and reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS & IAS
* Managing a portfolio of clients and building long-term advisory relationships
* Reviewing work from junior accountants and bookkeepers (and helping them grow)
* Delivering tax planning, business structuring and proactive adviceEnsuring all work is compliant with ATO, ASIC and Australian Accounting Standards
* Managing workflows, deadlines and job budgets with confidence
* Identifying smarter, more efficient ways of working (we love improvement ideas)
What we're looking for
* Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or similar
* CPA or CA qualified (or working towards)
* Strong experience in Australian public practice
* Confident preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
* Solid knowledge of Australian tax legislation and GST
* Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and cloud-based systems
* A natural mentor who enjoys helping others develop
* Strong communication skills — clients trust you and juniors learn from you
