Background of the role:
LC4 Mod SPO is seeking a Configuration Manager (CM) (Officer) to assist with Engineering Support.
Specific Tasks for candidate's primary responsibility within LC4 Mod SPO:
1. Tailoring, implementing, and managing CM
2. Advising the CCB on matters pertaining to CM and projects/SMs of CM transition requirements
3. Administrative support, including scheduling and preparing agenda/minutes
4. Registering and administering submitted ECPs and managing implementation of approved changes in association with SMs
5. Continued amendment of active CM documents (and CMP)
6. Oversight/monitor application of CM grading
7. Managing CSA procedures
8. Managing Configuration Audits
9. Providing CM advice on and reviewing CI selection
10. Managing the SPO technical integrity registers
11. Managing security of all CM and CSA data (CM tools use access permissions)
12. Assisting with the raising of ECPs
13. Receiving and registering ECPs, determining Class and either conducting JOS or assisting
14. Updating ECP register as ECPs change status
15. Closing ECPs
16. Auditing SPO technical register

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following skills:
1. Perform complex technical configuration activities and associated tasks working to agreed priorities and outcomes.
2. Accountable for exercising assigned technical authorities and any Technical Regulatory Authority delegations.
3. Demonstrate and apply knowledge and experience to develop and review technical packages.
4. Apply technical knowledge and experience to identify risks and uncertainties and take these into account in planning, decision making, and priority setting.
5. Build and sustain positive relationships with team members, actively participate in teamwork and motivate and mentor developing technicians.
6. Tailor communication style and language to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Assess technical packages including scoping, planning and reviewing of packages and provide recommendations for consideration.
8. Assess technical packages, reports, processes and product and equipment performance to meet specified requirements, provide recommendations for continuous improvement and implement corrective actions.
9. Ensure safety aspects of Defence capability are considered and incorporated into technical configuration activities and tasks.
10. Manage technical knowledge of relevant processes, packages, product and equipment.
Essential qualification and experience requirement:
1. At least 3 years experience in Configuration Management
2. Experience in Auditing
3. Experience in conducting CCBs
4. Experience with both CMT-L (trained) and Objective
Preferable experience:
1. Lead Auditor training
2. Objective preferably Work Group Coordinator
