We are a certified Great Place to Work and are looking to build our care team with experienced carers who are able to work from a minimum of 20 hours per week. We deliver flexible in-home care options to those in the aged care and disability sector, helping people to live more fulfilling lives both at home and in the broader community. We have clients in Pimpama, Hope Island, Coomera, South Brisbane, Mt Gravatt, Redlands, Loganholme, Logan Beenleigh, Beaudesert and Scenic Rim. Regular shifts are available from 6am to overnight active shifts or sleepovers.
About the Role
Making Lives Better and Happier Ageing are at the heart of what we do—enabling members of our ageing and disabled community to live a fulfilling life at home as long as possible, doing what they love to do. We provide around-the-clock care, so visits may be scheduled early morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight to meet our client's needs. Ability to work Weekends and nights or on-call would be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
- Provide a premium care experience to our clients that is genuine, compassionate and personalised
- Assist clients with activities of daily living including personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transport and companionship
- Deliver care in accordance with the client care plan that has been developed by the Care Designer (Registered Nurse)
- Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
- Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
- Work with a supportive and dynamic team
- Ongoing training
- Opportunity to broaden scope of practice through working in a Supported Independent Living House with 24/7 shifts available
Skills & Experience
- Passionate about making a difference
- Ability to work Weekends and nights would be very highly regarded
- A self-led leader with the ability to take responsibility for their own behaviour & success
- Coachable
- Previous caregiving experience is an asset
- Manual Handling experience is highly regarded
- Must be able to speak and write in English. Other languages will be an asset
- Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Ambassadors when needed
- Reliable way to get to and from the client's homes
- Drivers with their own vehicle will be an asset
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum Cert III in either Aged Care, Community, Individual Support or Disability, or industry experience is highly regarded
- National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)
- Working With Children Check - Blue Card
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion
- NDIS Worker Screener Clearance - Yellow Card
- First Aid & CPR certificates
Note: Ability to work Weekends and nights would be highly regarded.
