About the Opportunity
The Principal Assurance Officer will coordinate and undertake the planning, delivery and review a program of audits of Compliance and Enforcement casefiles to assess compliance, consistency and quality of regulatory practices. In addition, the role will design, implement and evaluate projects, research and analysis including analysing complex and sensitive information, writing briefings, reports and responses. The Audits and Projects will facilitate strategies to continuously improve internal business processes and programs, including service provided to the public.

SafeWork SA is a business unit within Attorney-General’s Department and is responsible for providing work, health and safety, public safety, and state-based industrial relations services across South Australia. As a regulator, our Investigators and Inspectors ensure work, health and safety, and public safety standards are met, and appropriate action is taken when breaches of laws are detected. We also help people better understand their work health and safety responsibilities.
