Hospital Scientist (Researcher) - Precision Medicine and Bioinformatics Specialist

The Hospital Scientist role involves working with Specialists, Scientists, and technicians to identify driver mutations in solid tumours using advanced genomic testing technologies. You will be responsible for delivering laboratory activities that comply with operational procedures, quality standards, and continual process improvement.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in DNA genomic testing, communication, and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Science/Biomedical Science or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution. Experience with FFPE-based testing and in silico annotation is highly desirable.
Salary:
* $1,407.48 - $2,007.56 per week + annual leave loading + 11.5% Superannuation

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor or higher degree in Science/Biomedical Science or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
* Display initiative, problem-solving, and analytical skills including the ability to apply established principles in a DNA genomics laboratory environment.
* Prior laboratory-based experience with genomic analytic platforms, including next-generation sequencing.
* Experience and knowledge with FFPE-based testing and in silico annotation.
