Senior Regional Development Officer Pool
This is an exciting opportunity to join the South West Development Commission (SWDC) within the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), and part of the State Government's Regional Development portfolio.
The SWDC is a statutory authority of the Western Australian State Government and is one of nine Regional Development Commissions, functioning under the provisions of the Regional Development Commissions Act *****).
The role of the SWDC is to make the South West an even better place to live, work and invest. We do this by coordinating and promoting economic and social development in the South West, to maximise prosperity and wellbeing for the region. The SWDC achieves this by providing the regional link between government policy and planning and regional aspirations and needs.
About the opportunity
We are seeking a pool of self-motivated Senior Regional Development Officers in various locations across the Southwest, Bunbury, Collie and Manjimup. These roles provide an opportunity to contribute to regional development initiatives that strengthen communities and drive sustainable economic growth.
As a Senior Regional Development Officer, you will collaborate with industry, local government and community stakeholders to develop strategically aligned programs and deliver regional projects. The role involves proactive engagement to gather regional insights, identify opportunities and critical issues, and support initiatives that increase resilience and prosperity across the region.
From January **** to 30 June ****, we have immediate opportunities for full-time and/or part-time contract positions available within the People and Place Team. These roles will focus on housing support, urban renewal, and community infrastructure planning, critical priorities for the South West. You will work both independently and collaboratively, engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes for local communities.
We are looking for individuals with:
Proven expertise in project and programme management, with the ability to deliver complex initiatives on time and within scope.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, building productive relationships across internal teams and external partners at all levels.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the agility to navigate changing priorities and resolve challenges effectively.

Employment Conditions and Additional Information
DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
