Synopsis: As a control and instrumentation engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable performance of process control systems across MGP facilities.
The Role: This position combines technical problem-solving, compliance oversight, and collaboration with engineering and site teams to maintain operational excellence.
* Conduct studies and lead investigations into process control failures and operational breakdowns.
* Provide technical support for maintenance and operational issues.
* Develop and implement engineering change packages while ensuring compliance with standards.
* Coordinate PCS issue resolution between engineering and site teams.
* Prepare key documents: control philosophy, shutdown hierarchy, and cause-and-effect matrices.
* Participate in HAZOP and SIL reviews and support facility projects.
* Collaborate with internal teams and third parties to address long-term maintenance and operability issues.
* Perform occasional site visits to Moranbah Gas Plant and other locations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering (or equivalent).
* Experience in process control systems within oil & gas or similar industries.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory regimes and design standards.
* Proficiency in control philosophies, shutdown systems, and cause-and-effect analysis.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
