The importance of a child's early years to lifelong development and wellbeing is poorly understood and fostered. The Lead of Government Relations will develop, implement and execute the global engagement strategy and ongoing relationship management for the Thrive by Five international platforms (Program: currently comprising a TED Talk and parenting app) in 30 identified countries.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Develop a comprehensive, multi-year global engagement strategy that is adaptable within changing international political landscapes.
- Lead the implementation and management of international engagement activities and stakeholder programs on both a strategic and practical level in multiple challenging and complex environments and maintain it across 30+ jurisdictions.
- Be the primary facilitator for international Government engagement (at all levels) and manage international Government and key stakeholder lifecycles by nurturing new and existing relationships.
- Ensure Director Impact Portfolio and Executive are prepared for international stakeholder meetings with briefing papers and background information.
- Be willing to travel internationally to foster relationships, attend meetings and drive change through representing Minderoo Foundation and advocating the Foundation's position.
- Proactively scan and understand the international landscapes to identify opportunities for influencing, positioning, and protecting the Foundation's reputation, working with the External Affairs and Communications team to develop key messaging.
- Work with the External Affairs and Communications team to provide a coordinated government relations approach and identify public relations opportunities and initiate relevant strategies to gain positive leverage from these opportunities.
**Qualifications**:
- University degree qualification in Law, Politics/Policy, International Trade, Economics or a related discipline

- Highly organised with proven time management skills to effectively maintain composure in high pressure environments and ability to manage competing/changing priorities.
- Excellent computer skills including the ability to utilise a range of information systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with an eye for quality and attention to detail.
