THE ROLE
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in keeping our world-class venue in peak condition, ensuring every space is safe, well-maintained and ready to host some of Australia's most exciting events. Key responsibilities include:
* Performing general maintenance and repair work on furniture, fittings and equipment
* Conducting preventative maintenance in line with scheduled programs
* Carrying out internal and external painting and minor plaster repairs to walls, ceilings and floors
* Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of plant rooms and other operational spaces
* Setting up and packing down banners, signage, flags and other venue branding
* Assisting internal and external trades and contractors as required
* Carrying out cleaning duties, including operation of high pressure cleaning equipment
* Maintaining daily logs, reports and accurate records
ABOUT YOU
You're a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in your work and brings energy and a "can do" attitude to everything you do. You will bring:
* Experience in general maintenance within a commercial building or similar large venue
* Painting skills with the ability to carry out minor plastering and repairs
* Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain
* Elevated work platform (over 11m) licence, or willingness to obtain
* Current drivers licence (Class C)
* Enthusiasm, energy and genuine commitment to delivering excellent guest service
* Ability to show initiative, work autonomously and contribute positively as part of a team
* Availability to work varied hours and days including weekends as required
