About the role
Seeking a skilled and experienced Float Driver to join the team in Geelong, VIC. This full-time role is integral to the company's road transport operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of materials and equipment to various worksites.
What you'll be doing
* Safely operate and maneuver a range of vehicles and plant equipment
* Transport heavy equipment, and other cargo to construction and industrial sites across the region (Some overnight stays may be required)
* Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle roadworthiness
* Adhere to all relevant road transport regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
* Provide excellent customer service and liaise with clients to ensure on-time and damage-free deliveries
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Float Driver or similar heavy vehicle operator role
* Holds a valid Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) driver's license
* Demonstrated knowledge of safe loading, unloading, and securing techniques for oversized and heavy loads
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills
* Commitment to workplace health and safety
