Join a dynamic, multidisciplinary treating team, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of adolescents. You will deliver high-quality diversional therapy by undertaking comprehensive assessments, planning and implementing evidence-informed interventions, facilitating therapeutic groups, and providing 1:1 support tailored to individual needs. Your work will focus on designing and evaluating recreational and leisure activities that enhance capacity, wellbeing, and meaningful engagement, while collaborating closely within a multidisciplinary mental health setting. You will also contribute to effective service delivery through the completion of designated administrative tasks, ensuring safe, efficient, and person-centred care.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high‐quality diversional therapy by undertaking comprehensive assessments, planning and implementing interventions, facilitating therapeutic groups, and providing 1:1 support tailored to individual needs.
* Design and evaluate recreational and leisure activities that enhance capacity, wellbeing, and meaningful engagement.
* Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary mental health setting to support service delivery.
* Complete designated administrative tasks while ensuring safe, efficient, and person‐centred care.

You are a flexible and creative practitioner who thrives in a collaborative team environment, with a trauma‐informed, recovery‐oriented approach. You value strengths, empowerment, and meaningful engagement for adolescents, communicate effectively, and can adapt practice to diverse needs. Availability to work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday is preferred.
Selection Criteria
* Recognised Degree in Diversional Therapy with eligibility for membership with the Diversional Therapy Association of Australia National Council.
* Demonstrated experience in providing diversional therapy interventions with mental health consumers in group and 1:1 formats.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those holding a C class license from another state must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
