Our client is an Australian FMCG manufacturer that proudly produce one of Australians longest standing and well-loved supermarket brands.
Over the last few years, the business has undergone significant transformation, with a refresh in it's Board and Executive Leadership Team, resulting in a huge shift in its approach to safety, operations, culture, innovation and profit performance.
In helping to further accelerate the business forward and drive similar transformation in the HR function, they are now looking to appoint a GM, People and Culture.
Reporting to the CEO, this person is to provide leadership and management of the HR function with a focus on Chain of Responsibility and WH&S frameworks. In order to attract, develop and manage a highly engaged workforce, the key remit of the role is to deliver on the following areas:
- Effective management and leadership of the People and Culture team, driving strategic plans and programs around safety, HR and COR programs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor People and Culture strategic operational plans in conjunction with the Executive Leadership Team
- Ensure and manage the organisations reputation as a leader in safety, through developing sound, robust plans, processes, and programs.
- Drive innovation through restructuring organisational processes, providing strategic HR advice to the Executive Leadership Team
- Achieve safety and equity in the workplace, managing and monitoring the organisations procedures in relation to diversity, inclusion, performance, staff recognition and development, and rewards and remuneration.
- Manage due diligence to ensure the Executive Leadership Team are informed to comply with their duty as required under the WHS policy.
- At least 5 years' experience as a senior HR professional at executive level, gained predominately within a manufacturing environment (food, beverage or industrial)
- Track record in developing and implementing HR strategic plans that includes safety and culture in order to build business capability.
- Sound knowledge of policy analysis, strategy development and organisational development and resource planning
- Overall, this person must be a commercial thinker, effective leader, possess exceptional stakeholder management skills in order to influence and advise at executive level.
