CCL Label Victoria is located in Chirnside Park, Melbourne. Our state-of-the-art facility and equipment are at the forefront of printing excellence. Initially working on our day shift for the training period before transitioning to permanent afternoon shift.
Role functions include, but not limited to:
* Setting, adjusting and monitoring of Flexographic presses for various materials
* Produce a variety of printed products using inline finishing systems including set up multiple embellishments including complex print requirements
* Load substrate into unwind unit
* Mixing inks and solvents to standard and regulating substrate and ink during print runs
* Make ready plates, screens and impression cylinders.
* Monitor, evaluate and determine press operations manually and by computer to check print quality standards against proofs and detect defects.
* Monitor final registration, die cut and quality of printing.
* Trouble shooting of print errors
* Undertake maintenance, adjustments, repair and cleaning of machines
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment
* Wash up of press and associated equipment
To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
* Trade qualified and experience running a Flexographic Press
* Stability, commitment and an eagerness to learn.
* Eye for detail
* Positive attitude
* Ability to work in a team, follow instructions and also work unsupervised
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Highly motivated and quick learner.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Good mechanical aptitude
* Flexibility to work overtime & weekends
* Good Computer skills
* Previous experience within the pharmaceutical or beverage industries highly regarded
