Band 7 Salary: $108,542.02 plus 12% superannuation

About the Role
As a Management Accountant here at Latrobe City Council you will provide budget, forecasting, reporting and analysis support to the organisation, assisting business units to improve their financial performance and reporting, including identifying process improvements.
You will assist with the preparation of key deliverable items including the annual budget, operating and capital expenditure, long term financial plans and quarter and annual reports.
As a member of our finance team you will provide support to ensure the integrity of councils financial systems and information whilst ensuring council is compliant with all legislative requirements, standards and relevant policies and guidelines.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in a previous management accounting role undertaking tasks such as planning/facilitating annual budgets, budget review, forecasting processes and producing monthly management financial reports including variance/financial trend analysis.
You will have the ability to collaborate and build strong trusting relations with other leaders across council.
You will also have
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Business with relevant accounting and computer based financial systems experience
* Understanding of the legislative requirements relating to Local Government, in particular those associated with the delivery of financial services and reporting incorporated in the Local Government Act, Accounting Standards and Regulations.
* Experience with Technology One CiA Financials is an advantage.
