**Job Description**:
**About the Role**
We are looking for dedicated Casual Traffic Reporters to join our team, as we expand the Nine Traffic Network (NTN) coverage.
As a Casual Traffic Reporter, you will get the opportunity to work across a variety of our shows and newsroom, as you support them with regular live Traffic updates and reports.
Day to day, you will report to the Content Manager, and your duties will include but are not limited to the below:
- Researching, writing and voicing regular live traffic reports within our programs and news services
- Go live-to-air with detailed traffic reports and advice for listeners during major traffic events
- Edit and upload regular traffic reports for Nine's digital and supplementary platforms
- Maintain a relationship with related services, including Emergency Services and Main Roads
- Cross-checking all material for accuracy and ensuring content is legally sound
- Provide support to the Executive Producer, Presenter and News Director
- Work with our News and Digital content teams to ensure consistency among our content

**About you**
You will have the energy and enthusiasm to embrace our audience and promptly attend to the needs of our most valuable assets: our listeners. You will also have:
- Detailed knowledge of Perth's roads and transport network
- Audio recording and editing skills
- Knowledge of news and current affairs
- Experience in radio or other news media
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication and broadcast-writing skills
- The capacity to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment
- Have a sound understanding of media and broadcast law
- Most importantly, a team player!
**Below are some nice-to-haves**:
- Degree in Media or similar.
- Social and Digital media skills.
