Role Purpose
The Spoil Advisor role provides guidance on spoil material management during excavation and construction activities, ensuring efficient handling, disposal, or repurposing in compliance with environmental regulations and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice on spoil material handling, transportation, and disposal, including treatment, recycling, or repurposing when feasible.
* Support project teams and sub-contractors to ensure implementation of statutory obligations and client environmental standards.
* Communicate environmental issues, standards, and procedures regarding spoil disposal and administration.
* Maintain accurate records of spoil data analysis, handling processes, and disposal records for stakeholder use.
* Implement Environmental Management Strategies (EMS) and subsidiary systems documentation.
* Assist with environmental inspections, audits, and initiatives related to spoil management, including workplace environmental inspections and internal/external environmental audits.
* Promote a positive environmental culture focused on achieving success.
* Liaise with the area environment team and client to address arising issues, requirements, and controls.
* Deliver training to project teams and personnel on spoil management best practices, emphasizing environmental responsibility.
* Represent the organization at key construction planning and project coordination meetings.
