About the role
This opportunity exists as a Service Technician to be based in our Gladstone facility.
Work with brands such as MSA Safety, 3M, Honeywell Analytics and Paramount Safety, this role will be inspecting, servicing and calibrating items including but not limited to Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), Gas Monitoring & Detection, Confined Space and Working at Heights Equipment.
While prior experience is looked upon favourably, this position includes both inhouse and third party accredited training for the right applicant to develop the skills required for a career in workplace safety equipment compliance as a Service Technician.
A development plan will be tailored to suit the right applicant in a timeframe subject to applicant skills and experience.
Initial Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service (In Person, On Phone, Via Website)
- Completion of Service Documentation
- Monitoring/Coordinating Stock Levels
- Goods Receipting & Freighting
- Maintaining neat and tidy operational areas and workspaces
- Learning the Services and Products provided by Gladstone Safety Servicing
Ongoing Key Responsibilities
- Inhouse & Onsite Servicing/Service Runs
- Service Job and Product Sales Quotations
- Equipment Fault Finding
- Client Product Consultancy

Preferred Skills & Experience
- Customer Service Experience
- Computer Experience (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Mechanical trade or hands on experience preferred
- High commitment to safety and protected work practices
- Willingness to complete product specific and general industry training
- Ability to complete site work in various locations throughout QLD
- Delivery of quality workmanship with attention to detail
- Ability to travel regularly throughout QLD
- The ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team.
- Preparedness and ability to prioritise and arrange in house service tasks
- Current Drivers License
