About the role
The Mechanical Fitter roleis a Full-time position, based at Oxley, QLD. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager at our PGH Bricks manufacturing site, you will be working on Monday - Friday 6am-2pm shift assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or similar, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Maintaining operational machines in our PGH Bricks manufacturing site.
* Complete planned maintenance tasks.
* Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
* Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your supervisor.
* Mechanical Fitting maintenance activities related to Clay extrusion equipment, machining, mixers, crushers, conveyors, gearboxes/drive assemblies, bearings, rollers etc.
* Basic weld repairs.
* Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
