Your New Role
As a Clinical Nurse – Clinical Research, you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialist nursing care and coordinating clinical research within the Movement Disorders Unit. Working autonomously and collaboratively, you'll lead patient‐centred care while ensuring research excellence, safety, and quality outcomes.
You'll be at the forefront of innovation—supporting clinical trials, advocating for participants and families, and driving best practice across clinical, education, and research domains.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Lead and deliver advanced, person‐centred care for complex patients
* Coordinate and manage clinical research participants and trials
* Ensure protocol compliance, data accuracy, and safety reporting
* Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and team support
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
About you
You are an experienced and confident clinical nurse with a passion for research, patient advocacy, and delivering high‐quality care in a specialised environment. You thrive in complex settings and bring strong leadership, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.

* Experience in clinical research and trial coordination
* Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
* Excellent clinical assessment, problem‐solving, and decision‐making skills
* Proven ability to work autonomously and lead within a team

About us
The public movement disorder service at Princess Alexandra Hospital covers Metro South, the largest and most populous health district within Queensland. Our services at PA Hospital include two weekly movement disorders clinic, a deep brain stimulation program for movement disorders in Queensland and a state‐wide Gamma knife service for lesioning surgery. Our movement disorder unit includes a clinical research program in the area of movement disorders and Functional Neurological Disorders.
