As an Instrument Technician, you will manage fault correction, calibration, preventative maintenance, and overhaul of instrumentation and control equipment.Additional tasks include maintaining the integrity of the SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), managing engineering stores, and performing work planning (scope, setup, isolation, and risk assessments), scheduled servicing, breakdowns, shutdowns, commissioning, and testing machines and equipment.You will initially be employed under a 10-day fortnight schedule to participate in the commissioning of the facility on day shift. This will transition to a 24/7 rotating 12-hour shift pattern to support production.Your ResponsibilitiesShut down, isolate, and test run machines and equipment as required for maintenanceDiagnose faults, repair, and calibrate control and monitoring loop elements, electronic systems, and sub-assembliesDiagnose faults on interconnected and non-interconnected electrical circuits and systemsPerform routine calibration of process instruments, both in-situ and in the workshopReport non-compliance conditions, abnormal problems, and maintenance difficulties to the Maintenance Engineer – Electrical/InstrumentationPerform preventive maintenance following SOPs as directedInterpret control system and electrical/electronic circuit diagrams and engineering drawings; prepare sketches of systems and circuit modificationsWork within a highly regulated environment, following rigorous Operating ProceduresMaintain workshop equipment and reference calibration instruments suitable for a GMP environmentYour ExperienceRelevant Trade Qualification as an instrumentation technicianExperience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or chemical production environments is desirableGood Manufacturing Practices experience is desirableKnowledge of calibration methods and conducting non-conformance investigationsComputer literacy, preferably with SAP or similar systemsCommitment to safety of yourself and your teamStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsOur BenefitsCSL Seqirus offers attractive benefits to support our employees' well-being and professional growth.
