Hosted by Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) and Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD), CYPFHN is a statewide service. Applicants from across NSW are encouraged to apply, with location negotiations possible based on the successful candidate’s geographical preference.The Clinical Lead – Medical will provide clinical expertise, leadership, and understanding in medical care for children and young people. This role requires a broad knowledge of the NSW health system, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and supporting programs, projects, and initiatives to bring a clinical perspective to CYPFHN’s work.CYPFHN’s purpose is to support statewide implementation of strategic priorities for children, young people, and families, working collaboratively across health districts, networks, and community groups to implement key projects aligned with NSW’s strategic directions.NSW Health values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. NSW Health is committed to a child-safe culture prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.The role may include academic titles and memberships at a university level, with no attached remuneration, responsible to the university for academic matters and to NSW Health for clinical duties.Minimum Requirements:Eligible for registration as a Specialist Paediatrician with the Medical Board of Australia or through an overseas trained specialist pathway.Significant experience in paediatrics, child health, or young people's health.Experience in leading strategic initiatives and clinical improvement projects, including stakeholder engagement and evaluation.Proven ability to engage and motivate clinical practitioners and stakeholders across organizations.Leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.Competence in data analysis, interpretation, and use of Microsoft Office and other systems.Supportive and mentoring skills to facilitate project implementation and organizational goals.Understanding of policy and strategic contexts relevant to pediatric healthcare.Valid NSW driver’s license and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.For more information, refer to the Position Description and application guidance.
