Join Our Perioperative Team as an Operations Assistant!
We’re looking for someone studying nursing or health sciences who wants to develop practical skills and experience in an operating theatre environment. This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience or pick up extra shifts during the week.
Key Details
- Primary day: Friday (between 7:00am – 6:30pm)
- Additional shifts: Opportunity to pick up extra shifts during staff leave
Responsibilities
- Assist nurses with preparing equipment and supporting safe patient movement between day stay and theatres.
- Help maintain clean, safe, and ready operating rooms between procedures.
- Check and maintain essential equipment used in patient care.
- Receive full training in reprocessing (cleaning) endoscopes – an excellent foundation for anyone pursuing a healthcare career.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Attentive and proactive, always ready to stay one step ahead.
- Understanding of manual handling, infection control, and workplace safety.
- Comfortable thinking on your feet to solve problems as they arise.
- Friendly and approachable, able to put patients at ease and make their experience as comfortable as possible.
