Employment Type: Part-time (28 hours a week)
Remuneration: $88,717 base pro-rata, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading

Research Assistant
The Research Assistant is expected to contribute towards the research effort of The Paediatric Gastroenterology Research Group (PGRG) which is part of the School of Clinical Medicine and is located within the Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick.
The role of Research Assistant reports to the Post-Doctoral Fellow and has no direct reports.
Some Key Skills Required
- A degree or other tertiary qualification in Science, Health Science, or a related discipline.
- Contribute independently or as a team member in team-oriented research undertaken by the PGRG.
- Administer, maintain and coordinate the logistical aspects of the research projects according to Valuable Clinical Practice and relevant Standard Operating Procedures, and monitor the progress of research activities.
- Coordinate study recruitment and participants including liaising with clinicians, scheduling appointments, procedures and follow-up attendance.
- Coordinate and maintain data collection and analysis systems, maintain research database and records, and develop digital data capture methods and Case Report Forms (CRFs).
- Undertake laboratory experimentation including but not limited to ELISA, organoid culture, microbiological culture and RNA/DNA extraction.
- Assist researchers with the preparation of ethics applications, research protocols, publications, grant applications and reports, and liaise with Ethics Committees.
- Proven experience in data management and the use of statistical analysis software such as SPSS/GraphPad.
